I am a long-time fan of Bette Davis and Joan Crawford, among other classic film stars, so I can't say I am a fan of the ham-fisted account by Ryan Murphy of these ladies on the set of Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? wherein two fine modern actresses (Jessica Lange and Susan Sarandon) do terrible imitations and talk like sailors on leave.

Not even going to start on the fact that J & B were each quite short and J & S 6" taller.

Mea culpa: I wound up watching the entire run of the show, and regardless of their ability to impersonate Davis and Crawford, Sarandon and & Lange both gave good performances, especially Ms. Lange.
