An amusing public-domain cartoon

Today's featured article on Wikipedia is about a 1912 silent cartoon called "How a Mosquito Operates". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/How_a_Mosquito_Operates (there's a link to the film in the article).
If you haven't realized before how clever these little beasts are, now's your chance to learn

I have to say I enjoyed watching it and except for some short fragments I found it to look very modern and rather smooth (except for occassional awkward repetitions).

Just found your post and watched the cartoon. Very amusing!

I agree with you, it does look like it could have been done today. In fact, if you can, go to YouTube and look for "Simon's Cat" - very similar style!

Not really a cartoon this one, but still public domain and somewhat amusing :)
