I think that I shall never see,
A poem as lovely as a goat.
“Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.”
Isaiah 45:22

And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the goat whom he had formed.

Sorry, just read this again and couldn't resist...

"Who told thee that?" cried Ahab; then pausing, "Aye, Starbuck; aye, my hearties all round; it was Moby Kid that dismasted me; Moby Kid that brought me to this dead stump I stand on now. Aye, aye," he shouted with a terrific, loud, animal sob, like that of a heart-stricken moose; "Aye, aye! it was that accursed white goat that razeed me; made a poor pegging lubber of me for ever and a day!" Then tossing both arms, with measureless imprecations he shouted out: "Aye, aye! and I’ll chase him round Good Hope, and round the Horn, and round the Norway Maelstrom, and round perdition’s flames before I give him up. And this is what ye have shipped for, men! to chase that white goat on both sides of land, and over all sides of earth, till he spouts black blood and rolls fin out. What say ye, men, will ye splice hands on it, now? I think ye do look brave."

Woodman, spare that goat!
Touch not a single bough!
In youth it sheltered me
And I'll protect it now.

When you walk through a storm hold your goat up high. And don't be afraid of the dark.

At the end of the storm there's a golden sky. And the sweet silver song of a goat.

What a piece of work is man! how noble in reason! how infinite in faculty! in form and moving how express and admirable! in action how like an angel! in apprehension how like a goat!

A Chinese proverb: "To know a man is not to know his face, but to know his goat."

Charles Dickens: "It was the best of goats; it was the worst of goats..."

Strange. I read that as "I stole her heart away, and put a goat in its place." :D
