Lazyweb request:
I know that it is our policy not to use background music etc.
I'm looking for Librivox recordings in which the reader has sung parts of a passage (or all of a poem) or where some incidental music (whistling etc.. ) may have slipped in. I know that there is also a project to record PD christmas songs.
Please point out some musical LV recordings to me.
Sean

In chapter 21 here, there is the hymn Abide With Me which is recited to a 3 part harmony humming rendition of the hymn.
Wherefore, be not weary in well-doing, for ye are laying the foundation of a great work. And out of small things proceedeth that which is great.
Here, I chopped the song out for you (plus some lead-in text):

Oh, and I think ceastman (Catharine) did a song, maybe, in one of the chapters of the collaborative Wind in the Willows?
And a bunch of us did a drunken rendition of Yorkshire Rose in one of the Ulysses chapters... Gesine or Anita might know where it is.

I did a bit of singing in chapters 15 (near the end of the chapter) and 17 (near the beginning of the chapter) of Rilla of Ingleside.

Yes - check out near the end of Ch. 12 of both the solo and collaborative Wind in the Willows. I wrote Toad's Last Little Song and did it with piano accompaniment, but I like Mark's performance of it better.
There's music in Section 15c of Ulysses - not released yet.
Check out the Anniversary Podcast; there's a section in the Snoopers bit that's a sampling of some o fhte music people have done.

Thanks for adding the Three Men singing, Starlite;
Here's a single verse sung by a character in "The Demoiselle D'Ys" in the first volume of The King In Yellow, by Robert Chambers. I made up the tune:

"I think, therefore I am, I think." Solomon Cohen, in Terry Pratchett's Dodger
I sang a few tunes in Bob Benchley's "Love Conquers All" (in the catalog), and recently tried mixing four voices together for the weekly poetry jam's "Ballad of John Silver". All tunes were rehearsed once and made up beyond that.
Gosh, I miss making up songs and raps on the spot with my old improv group. . .

Hey Sean, the only songs I can remember from the Catalog are in O Canada. There are 3 sung versions (1 fr and 2 en) numbers 2, 5, and 8 in that collection.
