You know you're addicted to LV when...

Everything except LibriVox (yes, this is where knitting gets discussed. Now includes non-LV Volunteers Wanted projects)

You know you're addicted to LV when your 4 year old comes and taps you on the shoulder for the 3 time in an hour and asks:

"Mommy are you forgetting something?"

and you answer:

"No, I've got my headset on, my water and my ftp connection is good."

and he says:

"How about my lunch?"

...when your husband goes to bed without even saying goodnight, because the last time he did that you told him off for making too much background noise and causing you to have to re-record that one sentence for the fifth time!

You know you're addicted to LV if, while perusing books which contain many classics, you feel the need to pick up a book here and there with a title that you recognize from the LibriVox catalog....even if you have absolutely no desire to read it.

"Ohh, Notes from the Underground...that was one of the early recordings! A Noiseless Patient Spider....that one looks familiar. Ohhhh, a collection of poetry...you know we've done many of these as weekly poems...."

And so on, and so on. Used book stores are already a trap for me, now I think it's worse!

Hee hee, I find myself checking publication and copyright dates in the front of books that look old at the used stores too! :)

...when you've learned to sleep sitting up at the computer and upon awaking at 2 AM you continue, without skipping a beat, to complete that one-more-last Forum post, despite that odd crick in your back.

...when clicking the LibriVox link (which you've placed in a prime position on your browser's toolbar) becomes the automatic second part of opening your browser, nevermind what you actually got online to do.

...when you've actually stopped bothering to try to cook dinner in the first place. (You're still trying to cook Anna? A jar of peanut butter and a spoon will sustain you.)

...when you go out and buy a new computer instead of spending $100 to fix the one you have because it would take a few weeks and LibriVox needs you! (Or something like that. )

Hi, my name is Kristin

...when your microphone breaks, and during the day and a half before you obtain a working replacement, you find yourself going around saying the Librivox disclaimer aloud as you work around the house, like a smoker with a twitchy lip.
