So how many librarians or future librarians do we have here? I'm about halfway through my Master's degree and I loooove it! I work at a small public library, it's a great job.

I was a student librarian in middle school and high school, and over a few summers at the local public library, does that count? 8)

Me four

Corporate librarian with a relatively new (received it in May last year) B.Inf.

The M.Inf. will have to wait till my life settles itself into a remote semblance of normality again.

I know I've mentioned this to death in other threads but I'm going to mention it again. Infomagicians

Izze - That's good enough for me. :D

Betsie - Why am I not surprised you're a cataloger? LOL, you've got that super organized, over achiever mentality that works so well for a project like this! I just had cataloging this summer and loved it, I'll probably take more classes on it in the future.

Vlooi - Corporate librarian, eh? That's a bit more unusual in the library science field but I hear its also the most profitable!

I shelved books in my local library when I was a kid. Now my mother's on the board of directors of her local library in Ephrata, PA. :-)

Heheh me too. Whever I go on vacation, stopping in at a new, unfamiliar library is a huge treat.

I volunteered in the children's department when I was a kid.

I'm a former librarian with an MLS from UCLA. I worked in the Engineering Library there, then at Rocketdyne and the LA Times.

I had my own research company after that for a long time. I did research for the film industry and a variety of other clients. Have I got stories!

*grins* yea...well, too bad it's just the appearance of organization and over achievement...

However, I think this series of comic strips sum me up:

Though, I don't work in a public library... i work for a library cooperative that supports the public and school libraries in our region. I do a lot of training/consulting and work with the digitization of historical resources in our area.

Some snow... not a lot for this time of year tho. It was misty-rain this morning though... and we're expecting a big storm tomorrow...

Yes, I heard. My sis's b-f is worried his last couple finals will have to be postponed and he might not make his scheduled flight. The same thing happened last Christmas and he had to pay 300 bucks for a new plane ticket! (That's a lot for us poor college kids  )

Look, I've managed to go off topic within the off topic board!
