What made you choose your nickname?

Everything except LibriVox (yes, this is where knitting gets discussed. Now includes non-LV Volunteers Wanted projects)

I got mine from a friend a long time ago. He still tells me I have muddy water in my veins because everytime he comes to my house I am throwing pottery and there is always a cup of tea somewhere around me. So I just started using it as a screen name. They call me "mud" for short.

I am on the road literally and mentally. I am on the road due to my job, but it also keeps me sane. I use this name on several diverse forums. I have been on the road for 10 years now. It seems to fit…

When I found Librivox, I just signed in with the first alter ego that came to mind - "Kaffen", which is a name I used LONG ago in Counterstrike games. By the next day, I knew I loved Librivox and no longer wanted to use an alias, but the damage was done. (That's approximately how long it took someone to query, "What's a kaffen, anyway?")

I'm happy with my real name; it's just not terribly distinctive. There were eleven others of the same name in the phone book when I lived in Charlotte!

I picked my name when I was an on-line gamer. "Le Marteau" means "The Hammer" in French, and I prided myself in my ability to hammer my opponent into submission. Plus, I have much French blood, so it worked.

Since then, I have developed a love for Nietzsche ("philosophy with a hammer" as he called it) and also the martial arts, so the name fits me very well and it will, for the forseeable future, be my on-line persona.

Mine is my real first and middle name. I usually use "Moosey" for message boards, which originated from my freshman year in youth ministry when one of my sister's friends called me "deary" and I wasn't too fond of being called that at 14, so he said "Want me to call you Moosey instead?" and it stuck.

Well my Nickname that I use here is my nickname in real life. And I wanted something simple that I could spell and remember. So I chose Pam.

Ha, ha, that's what I thought, too.

Hmm, Moosey, I know another Moosey elsewhere on the internet...maybe it is you?

My handle is referencing one of my other hobbies. I collect My Little Ponies; "Ponyfeathers!" is a famous line from one of the cartoon specials.

My name's Darcy. I narrowly escaped the Fitzwilliam bit. ;)

Anchorbend is a type of knot--also known as a Fisherman's Knot. I got suckered into knots after reading The Shipping News. I'm not even that keen on tying them, just reading about them.

May I ask, at whom?

My nickname is fairly self-explanatory. My name is George and I love everything about Romania. I am also a pathological liar!

I'm French and love Audrey Hepburn
And there you have it...
I thought it was a nice stepping stone away from my former nicknames: Powderpufffgirl (I dont even play football- I thought i was referencing the cartoon!) and Psyche137 (can't stand nicknames with numbers)

Also- despite what you may think from these nicknames: i am not 12 years old

Ah...that would be because, for the cartoon, it's Power, not Powder. :)
