Belated HB to you, Starlite!
I was born 57 years ago last Thursday (Dec. 13).
(I turned 13 years old on Friday the 13th, but that was long ago....)

22's my favorite number too - I was born on August 22, 1976. My mother was born on Jan 22, my sister was born on Mar 22. I like to say 8:22 is my "birthday-time", and happily I get to see it twice a day! (unlike my sister, for example, who generally is only awake to see 3:22 once. Besides, being at work she's probably not seeing the time on clock radios or on the microwave)

I suspect, approximately (certainly not exactly), 4.8%.
(EDIT: oops, should be 0.48%)

Hah - I saw that but didn't think someone would calculate it. I think you're off by a decimal point, though.

Given that Roger was born on the 13th, he had a 1 in 7 chance on turning 13 on a Friday. That's 14%. But he had a 1 in 30 (or 1 in 31 or 1 in 28) chance of being born on the 13th. So overall he had a 1 in 210 chance of turning 13 on Friday the 13th, or 0.48%

I can't believe you guys actually sat down and did the MATH!!! LOL. While I always loved math, it is not something I would do for fun. I do however need to do it for work.... I work for H&R Block.

Along those lines:

I turned 13 on the American Bicentennial, July 4, 1976. That was one year for each colony declaring independence in 1776---and, taking the last two digits of the year---7 + 6 = 13. I always felt that was pretty special ...
