I get past "expatiating" finally - only to see MORE 50-cent words in the sentence!

Okay, now this one actually made me laugh out loud! How dare the author put "expatiating", "benignity", and "incommensurate" all in the same sentence -- nay, in the same clause!? Has he no feelings for his readers?

My all time favorite sentence is from The Andes and The Amazon, and I ran across it (or rather stumbled over it) a mere 3 months after I joined. I call it "The Dreaded Sentence with Twenty Volcano Names" or TDSWTVN. A reminder to always skim a selection before choosing it, a rule I violate only to my sorrow on many occasions...
Antisana and Cayambi are fashioned after Chimborazo, though the latter is table-topped rather than convex; Caraguairazo, Quirotoa, Iliniza, Sincholagua, Rumiñagui, and Corazon, resemble Altar; Tunguragua, Sangai, Llanganati, Cotocachí, Chiles, and Imbabura, imitate Cotopaxi; Pichincha, Atacatzo, and Guamani are irregular.
However I refused to post a blooper. There is no evidence.

Thanks, Todd

And the world was on tenterhooks waiting for that information!

Well that was a stroke of luck!
Had I not got my tongue and brain in a tangle I would have ruined a wonderful (Imagemaybe!) piece of recording.

How could I not have heard a helicopter flying over my house?

Here's me recording the very last chapter of my solo, to discover that the final pages were missing!

https://librivox.org/uploads/bloopers/missingtext_blooper_tg.mp3

Note the desperation in my voice on the last exclamation. :help:

Fortunately, I was able to find another text online - just barely. Google Books, Archive, etc. didn't have any other full-view texts! Hathi Trust did. WHEW!

Mother Nature had to put in her two-cents worth -- very emphatically.

librivox is mentioned...

Want bloopers? Want major, major bloopers? Here ya go:

(Hey, I figured it was in theme... If it's not? Delete the post. Thanks.)

I'm way too popular in numbers these days to not question lack of discussion and go looking for it anywhere, in any manner. :help:
