I'm really stuck with this crossword and this is 1 across and might help me get somewhere
"what is the name of the chromatic chord that is the major common chord on the flattened supertonic in its first inversion? "

I have no idea really but I'll throw out Neapolitan. It's 10 letters at least.

Yes .. Thank you both - I needed the second word to start with s or b (ship or boat). I've never done any music theory at all so I didn't know where to even start looking.

Ok, so I have had some music theory...but apparently not enough.
