This one came from a comic strip:

Laugh, Image and the world laughs with you. Cry, Image and your brother gets punished!

This one's by Eleanor Roosevelt -
I once had a rose named after me and I was very flattered. But I was not pleased to read the description in the catalogue: "No good in a bed, but fine up against a wall."
It's my most favorite. :D

I also like EVERYTHING by Jack Handey.
How come the dove gets to be the peace symbol? How about the pillow? It has more feathers than the dove, and it doesn't have that dangerous beak.
Just one more --
Whenever I see an old lady slip and fall on a wet sidewalk, my first instinct is to laugh. But then I think, what if I was an ant, and she fell on me. Then it wouldn't seem quite so funny.
But on a slightly more serious note, Dave Weinbaum said --
Let the wind blow through your hair while you still have some.
