Our two daughters were both pregnant, expecting their child about 1 month apart.

Three days ago, the elder daughter was 2 weeks overdue, so went into the maternity hospital to be induced; after 2 days in labour she finally gave birth by Caesarian section last night (1st) to a baby girl weighing 10lb 2oz.

It was a worrying time for us all (she lives 200 miles from us) as you can imagine.

This morning the younger daughter telephoned to tell us that she gave birth this morning (2nd) to a little boy (7lb 1oz) - two weeks early!

Amazing that they gave birth just hours apart. They are our 6th and 7th grandchildren. No names yet, but we are so excited - we are going to see them on Sunday. We are so pleased - and all is well with both mothers and children.

Do you get to name them??? We'll help. After all, we helped name a rooster. (Perhaps that isn't the best recommendation.)

The girl has been named: Aine (pron. ANYA) Megan. Apparently it is a Celtic name. :?:

The boy may be Ben, but not sure yet.

Definitely AINE MEGAN and BENJAMIN PETER but known as Ben!

I just got back from a visit, and I'll post a link or a pic shortly.
