I have a Min Pin/ Rat Terrier whose name is Reese's (for her pretty Min Pin markings that remind you of a peanut butter cup). 5 wks ago she had 4 girl puppies which I named Tiny, Trixie, Taylor, & Tricia. (Of course as many as find new homes will likely also get new names... But it's fun seeing what one can come up with!)

Well, I'm honored. I've known of other people who have had their names used for dogs, but this is a first for me.

Yes, it was in honor of you. Kind of a tribute to you for all the Pansy books I've enjoyed... Thanks for letting me use the name!

Frances Benjamin Johnston had two cats she named Herman and Vermin.
I named my Boykin spaniel Locksley inspired by Robin Hood and her wavy hair.

We named our dog Emmanuel (well, Emmanuela bc she's a girl ) but we call her Emmy for short. The name came from our belief that God provided her for us, bc she showed up about 4 years ago on our porch as just this abandoned puppy. We still don't know where she came from! When we took her to the shelter nobody claimed her, so we adopted her. She's one of the cutest dogs I've ever seen, she's miniature poodle/terrier mix (curly dark brown hair and ombre golden/brown ears)

The dogs in my family are called Fluffy and Benny

I know a mischievous Jack Russell by the name of Tyke. It fits him to a T.

my dog is a German Shepherd/Pyrenees/Boarder Collie cross and his name is Thornton. And someday when I get a Corgi, I am set on the name Mr. Panks

My golden girl is called Jessie, not Marley or Buddy, but not a crazy original name either .

My dog for 17-1/2 years was Max.
His nicknames included Maxamiliano, Maximoto, Maximus, Maxaroonie, & Maxywaxy.
(And no, none of the nicknames ended with "-pad" -- he put his paw down on that one.)

My current dog is Blaze.
His nicknames include Blazamatic & Blazyboy.

We got our dog the week of the Trump Tweat Covfefe debacle in the news. Everyone was asking "What's covfefe? What does it mean?" So we decided to let everyone we knew know that Covfefe was a small, palm-sized Chihuahua-Poodle Mix (at the time, anyway. She's not palm sized anymore!). Back then nobody knew now to pronounce it, so we pronounced it "/kƏfifi/" Made it very easy to shorten the name to the more common dog name, Fifi.

That’s a good idea. Your dog sounds ADORABLE.

We love Staffordshire Bull Terriers and have had two males. One named Mozart after the composer and one named Yoda from Star Wars.
Both no longer with us unfortunately.
