Here's a very good chocolate cake in a mug recipe. I've had it several times already! Enjoy!
5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE
4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar (You can decrease this amount slightly.)
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional) a small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug
Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well. Add the chocolate chips (if using)
and vanilla extract, and mix again. Put your mug in the microwave and cook
for 3 minutes at 1000 watts. The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed! Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if
desired. EAT! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous).
And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world? Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or
night!
Note:Using a 12 ounce mug is ideal, and won't rise over the top.

Oh my gosh, it actually works. (Typing with my mouth full.) I used self-rising flour and was skeptical of using an ENTIRE egg but it's fine -- different texture than regular cake but...
You know what this needs, a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Why am I not surprised that you are the first one to try it?

Hmm... well, it tasted chocolatey but had the texture of a can of Play-Doh. My microwave doesn't have wattage settings so I had to guess, and I'd say it was overdone. I'll have to try again another night :)

Oh, man! I just heard about this on the community podcast and thought I'd bump it up.
And mention...
It sounds SO GOOD! But, since I'm counting calories, I calculated the calories in this masterpiece. HOLY GUACAMOLE!
(Highlight below if you want to know the damage. I'm hiding it for those that are in denial!)
about 960 calories!!
Someday, sweet chocolate confection - someday.

Oh come on. From where?? The choc chips? (easily omitted) The milk? (use skim)TriciaG wrote: about 960 calories!!
Yes, in denial here
I haven't made it since that once... I decided hot chocolate (milk/cocoa/sugar) was less filling but just as chocolatey.

150 in the chips, and I calculated using 1% milk.

Next time my tummy is aching,

Yummy, Yummy.
Thank You for the great recipe.
I put mine in a big bowl used for making micro oatmeal. It's really very good. I put one extra measured dry ingredients into a plastic bowl so I can make it for an elderly friend tomorrow.
Maybe a person could have a few pre-measured in case of a seriously bad chocolate emergency?????
