Absolutely. But, as I'm a couple of hundred miles inland, our problems will be with high winds (not likely hurricane strength, but 40-60 mile per hour winds are nothing to sneeze at!), tornados, heavy rain and flash flooding because of the rain. We're already running evacuation shelters for people from the coast, and are set up to house 28,000 people in the Middle, Jr High, and Sr High schools in the area. We'll have to wait and see how many we get, but this weekend will be a busy time around Austin.Starlite wrote:Paul, it looks like Ike is headed right for YOU! I hope you are all prepared!
