What's a Book You Wish Was in the Public Domain?

Everything except LibriVox (yes, this is where knitting gets discussed. Now includes non-LV Volunteers Wanted projects)

I used to do table top D&D a long time ago. But my main focus was reading books. My biggest D&D achievement was being turned to stone by a gargoyle. That made my participation in the Ravenloft campaign extremely difficult.

Gets my vote. My first and only foray into high school drama (1970's) was when my English teacher (the high school's drama director) finally convinced (a totally inexperienced) me to take a role in this play. When I finally agreed, assuming I'd get a bit part, he assigned me the fairly large role of Professor Harold Nemur!

I guess I did OK, because the local newspaper said I was "convincing" in the role.

Great! Having listened a little to your Baseball Joe, I believe the newspaper was right. 🐢

I really wish the Freddy the Pig series was in Public Domain, by Walter R. Brooks. Those would be super fun to record!

The first one will be PD next year, as it was published in 1927. :-)

Just so you know, the 1st book was originally published under the title "To and Again". There is a copy on archive that should be useable for Librivox. It is not currently full view, but the copyright page is viewable. They should open it up next year when it falls out of copyright. :-)

Any book by Chilean science fiction writer Hugo Correa. Won't happen in my lifetime, though. Sigh.

Believe it or not... I had never heard of Freddy until a friend gave me Freddy the Detective a few years ago.
I still can picture all the little animal detectives skulking around & spying on one another -- I mean, surveiling.
Here's a cool website I just came across: http://freddythepig.com
