There is a great obit in the New York Times for a librarian at the Library of Congress.

Can you tell I have a soft spot in my heart for librarians, having been one in another life in another galaxy long, long ago. (Actually it was UCLA only a few decades ago.)

David, Thanks for posting this tribute to a great librarian and bibliographer! :D

Edit: It occurred to me that Ruth Freitag's bibliographies might lead to some interesting Short Nonfiction Collection reads, particularly the bibliography on Women in Astronomy. These bibliographies all seem to be available on the web:

Women in Astronomy: https://www.loc.gov/rr/scitech/womenastro/womenastro-intro.html

Halley's Comet: https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=uc1.31210005023559&view=1up&seq=17

and the "flat earth" theory... This one has actually been updated by the Library of Congress!
