Just because.

Just 4 sections open for essays from Shopenhauer.

viewtopic.php?p=1772753#p1772753

As you know, Shopenhauer always arrived late to parties and his appointments.

I think we broke the old record with the book https://librivox.org/what-shall-we-do-by-leo-tolstoy/ which perhaps could be actually asking us "What Shall We Do Next?"

Thanks, Todd
Break it again!

Great job, everyone! We are already up to 160 ~ let's see how high we can get it to in the next 3 days!

This has been such a neat project. I didn't realize there were some books that had been started years ago and still being worked on!

Sometimes things do not go as well as hoped. I believe we had one that took 8 years (shudder). Consider yourself lucky not to have run into one of these long-haul projects!

Thanks, Todd

"The Count of Monte Christo" (DR) is coming up to its sixth anniversary while "Wives and Daughters"(DR) has been going for longer than that. :hmm:
I have read for both of them (I think, but my memory isn't what it was)

Yeah, me too!

I was just getting my feet wet when I took a part in Wives and Daughters" which started on October 2nd, 2014, (before I joined LV) which is coming up on 7 1/2 years. Of course we lost Beth as MC along the way. :(

And the Count of Monte Christo started on April 21st, 2015. Another long, complicated project with lots of parts.

I wonder if we need a new category for these types of projects, or some way to make them more visible to new readers because they tend to sink to the bottom and get lost. :hmm:

Maybe we should have a DR and Play clean-up month, or something.

Looking at these projects the main thing that seems to be outstanding is the Narration, which is a massive task :help:

29 March - only 3 Days to Go!

And we are now at 161 items cataloged so far this month. New record for monthly completions. Woo Hoo!

That 3 hour Librivox shutdown time in early April is looking quite enticing. Don't slack off now, but start making your plans. Mine include, after reintroducing myself to the family, a beach chair in the back yard, warm sun if it doesn't rain, ignore the forum for a spell (while it gets updated), lose my phone somewhere so I'm not checking to see when the forum comes back alive, and just plain vege out for a good nap....

(I am ignoring the calls above for a continuation of cleanup month....)

Thanks, Todd

La Conspiration des milliardaires has PLers for all its sections. :-)
I've moved it around in the first post.
