I'll try. I'm generally tucked in by then, but I'll try.philchenevert wrote: ↑January 3rd, 2022, 1:39 pmNo Kevin. Not sure who is president of the US but pretty sure it isn't Ford. The last one didn't work out for me; Zoom froze my computer. I have reinstalled Zoom. Probably happens because I run Zoom in Linux; I had to leave Windows for good. I am no longer the market for Microsoft; they only care about the under 25 leisure class who plays Candy Crush. I will see if the second session goes better.

This afternoon [my daytime lol] I have set up the Zoom through my Google account. I will see if that way is more stable.

Sorry I was not visible during the session but I had only downloaded and set up Zoom 20 minutes beforehand and did not really know how to use it. I had to fix up the camera and sound at the last minute as well. My wife kept passing me messages saying do this and that, as she is experienced with Zoom. So after about 45 minutes I decided to call it a day. But i can see from the recordfing that it was a good session.
Best wishes and happy new year.

I enjoyed last night’s Zoom session. Small group, good conversations.
Matthew expressed an interest in the book “Land of the Burnt Thigh.” Want to let him know if he’s interested in recording, I’ll be glad to be the DPL (dedicated proof listener) for the project.
Regarding that particular book, I recorded an article for the non-fiction collection from a 1904 issue of “The Saturday Evening Post”. Chances are it was also read by the women in the Burnt Thigh book. It's “Uncle Sam’s Last Big Lottery: South Dakota Indian Lands, 1904”

Thanks for being there Peter. Like anything else, zoom is a skill that must be learned and you are almost there.lurcherlover wrote: ↑January 4th, 2022, 3:22 am Sorry I was not visible during the session but I had only downloaded and set up Zoom 20 minutes beforehand and did not really know how to use it. It was a fun meeting! I think I might have derailed Phil's planned agenda a bit.MaryinArkansas wrote: ↑January 4th, 2022, 7:56 am I enjoyed last night’s Zoom session. Small group, good conversations.

And really nice to meet a few people whose names I have seen on the forums.
Mary, I will take you up on that offer...some time in the coming year, I hope.

This crowd would be good contestants in 'What's my line?'

"Line?" I didn't know there was a line. Are they giving away something? Where is the end?
