Sorry. We closed the meeting at about 1:11 pm my time. Now you must record lots and lots.

Oh. you let me back in after a while. :D When I posted here, I thought maybe I had forfeited my access by leaving once. I had experimented with the zoom firefox extension -- which worked, but it only ever showed me those who were currently talking, and not all participants at once, so I downloaded and installed zoom after all (new laptop with very little software as yet).

In Kevin's talk about poetry, (Thank you, Kevin) he mentioned women aren't well represented. I assume he meant in LibriVox recordings. Below is a Wikipedia link to female poets, worldwide. Perhaps some of these who wrote pre-1923 (I think that's the copyright safe date) have poems available online that could be recorded for LibriVox. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_female_poets

I haven't really noticed that in the monthly poetry collection, but since October is breast cancer awareness month, I will dedicate next month's collection to female poets (as an optional choice by the contributors).

Thanks for the idea and for the link, Mary!

Yep. https://youtu.be/N0ly32jlvEw

please ignore my mindless singing at the start. I heard music all the time in my head and sometimes it just slips out.

Suddenly you’re channeling the Easybeats, Phil.

And I can't hear a thing you said
And my life echoes through my brain
It's so comical I'm insane.”

They seem to have missed Violet Nicolson / Laurence Hope (1865-1904) off that wikipedia list!

One of my favourites.

Thanks for catching that, Peter. I did a Wikipedia edit and added her. I was relatively certain that as Wikipedia has a page on her, they would accept her into the female poets page.

Thanks for adding Laurence Hope, Mary. We don't want to see her forgotten.
