I've just uploaded the final two sections for St. George and St. Michael, Volume 2: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=69255

The person who was going to PL these isn't able to now, so I'll need a volunteer. It's about 45 minutes total listening time. I'll go ahead and post in Listeners Wanted, but if anyone here would like to PL, please speak up! :)

I have an abandoned project called "Selection of poems by A E Houseman" which has no recordings and it's just sitting there. Can it be deleted? I won't be taking it up as it turned out to be a bit of a pointless project, or so it was generally thought. (I think I started it at the end of last year).

I'm not a PL but would be interested in doing it. I take it that it's the standard PL required? I think I know all the ins and outs ... (It might take me about a week, or it could be sooner).

best thing is to ask those questions in the thread of the project. I just checked, I think Sarah already started on PLing these. So you better make sure that you're not doing double work here.

Oh thanks. I left it too late! I did also put a post in the thread about needing a PL for it, but that was only about 15 minutes ago.

If I may suggest... The Deluge (vol 2) by Henryk Sienkiewicz could be added to the first post as a project that could benefit from some extra attention from readers. It was started 10 months ago already and still has 41 (from 65) sections open...

Does this march stomp on solo projects too?
This project: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=69313 has been dormant since May, and the soloist did not leave a footprint in LV since Aug. last year.
I, as the DPL, won't be upset if it gets cancelled (which, of course, is not a consideration, but the soloist might become even more bored than I did  )

MCs decide when to pull the plug on solos they're MC'ing. However, you're free to resign as DPL at any time by posting that in the project.

My MARCH resolutions:

1) Clear out the current group project sections I'm already signed up for.

2) Sign up only for sections from languishing projects listed here for rest of month.

3) Try hard to finish the abandoned solo I adopted (Frontier in American History) within this month -- it's doable, since it was more than 50% complete when abandoned.

4) Wait for a different month to fulfill my 2019 resolution to start my first BC group project.

That was all previously recorded but only needed editing (the part I hate the most) so now I've gone back and done that! Yay!

We ought to keep track of the projects catalogued in March to show how successful we are being... maybe add a section to the first post?

I know this doesn't quite fall into any of the categories, but I'd like to mention The Book of the Thousand Nights and a Night, Vol 10. viewtopic.php?f=28&t=72544
It contains the last few of the Nights, and a lot of supplementary work about linguistical aspects, themes, etc (more like scholarly work).

The Nights themselves were claimed rapidly, however, the rest of the book hasn't quite taken off. I've started reading some of the harder sections myself, but it could really use a boost of someone willing to take some of them on. Warning: these sections are (mostly) quite long, contain archaic language, contain a lot of Arabic names and words, and are more history/sociology/linguistics rather than fiction/tales. But they're very interesting! ;)

I have a question. What about projects that need listeners and not readers that are going slowly because there isn't a DPL?

Hello Elijah,

Will it be okay to be the DPL? If you would like me to switch to the other project. I don't mind.
