It already happened over here in Japan - no fireworks though, only ringing temple bells...

Here is how it's done over in Chion-in Temple, which has one of the largest temple bells in Kyoto:

My dog doesn't mind church bells but he for sure minds all those firecrackers and that insane stuff lighted up and thundering the last few days :? Maybe we should travel to Japan...
