Readers and Review Persons roles
I'm curious to know at what level a reader's proof reviewer plays in the final edition of the books? I'm currently listening to a book in which the reader's repetitive short cadence is so powerful that it's difficult to even absorb much of the story because of it. Is the proof reviewer not able to intercede and help the reader improve this difficulty early in the book's process?
How old is that book? It is well known that standards (and performances) improve over time, so earlier recorded books had less scrutiny and less strict standards imposed on them.
BTW, what is "repetitive short cadence"? I am not a native English speaker, and never heard the term. Could you explain please?
Thanks!

I think this refers to the reader's reading style which would never have been subject to PLing comments.
