CNBC's Rachel Maddow recently devoted an episode of her current events panel show to the Internet Archive (which carries our audio books) regarding the IA's plan to mirror their site in Canada. Apparently, the news media use the site to verify various statements by politicians and celebrities by way of the Wayback Machine, which preserves all websites on the net in their original incarnations. IA has also been sending out appeals to its members for cash donations to support this cause, emphasizing the need to preserve public libraries. Has anyone considered doing a cross-promotional for IA via LibriVox, something that focuses on the need for freely-available books?

You (or someone) could whip up something and put it in the upcoming community podcast. I think the "LibriVox Firsts" is the next one scheduled for release.
Fiction, partly about jail atrocities: It Is Never too Late
Watergate Report, volume 3: Here
E E Cummings' time in French prison: The Enormous Room

I'll make a note of this in the podcast.

Thanks
