11 years - 10,022 projects!
I was wondering where we get our count from? Our count and Archive are very different so I'm thinking there must be another way. I can't seem to figure it out through our own catalog. https://archive.org/details/librivoxaudio?and%5B%5D=subject%3A%22librivox%22 Current count 9561.

You can also do it by browsing all books by release date and going to the very last page (right now #396).
395 x 25 projects per full catalog page = 9875
20 projects on page 396
= 9895 completed works.

Excellent. That way will work well. I knew there had to be a way. Thank you, Tricia!

The stats are also at the bottom of our home page, https://librivox.org. The numbers there are updated nightly at midnight Pacific time. The numbers Tricia posted are up to the minute from the data in the database.linny wrote:Excellent. That way will work well. I knew there had to be a way. Thank you, Tricia!
Jo
Oh my. Now I just feel foolish. I have never scrolled to the bottom of our homepage. Thank you, Jo!

103 projects to go!
This month we have so far catalogued 92 projects - that's more than in all of the last 7 months. If we reach the 100 this month, it will be our most productive month in a year (since the last cleanup, that is).

I gotta hand it to you, Availle. These cleanup months really do work! I'm feeling more motivated than I have for a long time, and it is great to see projects getting into the catalogue!

Thank you for the flowers, but I don't feel I deserve them. The clean-up months have a very long tradition, I think Ruth has done them for quite a number of years.
I did not come up with them at all, I just do what I can do best: sticking to the rules, making lists, and yelling at people. And even so, without everybody else on here who is actually getting the reading done, it would be futile.
You are right about the increased motivation though: Nothing helps you work faster than somebody behind you waving with a deadline...

And you have people, who have been MIA, suddenly coming crawling out of some hole, because they want to support the community... (not naming names, but there's this person in my mirror... ) and "oh, just 1 section... surely I have time for that..." becomes many many more...
