11 years - 10,022 projects!
Posted: June 22nd, 2016, 4:51 am
Dear LibriVoxers,
we will celebrate our 11th anniversary on the 10th of August 2016. This is an enormous achievement for an organisation that is purely volunteer driven, without staff, without offices, a budget of zero, and not even big advertisements campaigns. Let's celebrate this milestone in our own way, the only way it ought to be celebrated:
With 10,000 catalogued projects!
We did it!
We catalogued project 10,000 on August 6th, 21:13 GMT!
We're obviously on a roll! How many more can we complete before the anniversary on Wednesday?
The challenge will close on August 9th, midnight Pacific Standard Time.
Final count: 10,022
Readers: Have a look at your claims and record away! Have you submitted all your edits? What about that solo of yours, started 2 years ago, with only 3 sections done? (Here's looking at you, Ava! )
DPLs: Are you on top of your commitments? Maybe there's a section or two in another project that could use your sharp ears!
BCs: Check your Magic Windows - are all your claims current? if you cannot reach a reader, consider opening up old claims for somebody else to read. See also here for a suggested post in all your projects.
This is a very special "clean-up month". It will end on August 9th at the latest - hopefully with 10,000 books in our catalog!
Below you will find a list of projects started last year (as usual), as well as those with less than 5 sections uncompleted (regardless of starting date).
Let's go!
The deadline has passed - thank you for your contributions!
