It's not PD in the USA (and thus on LV), though - since we go by copyright year rather than date of author's death.

...and there's a legal claim that her father was a co-author, and so the date would be from his death (1980) regardless. So, you perhaps should just walk away from it. Even if you are in the right, there's no point fighting the Trust.
