Now that we're in 2016...

...well, I am! ...my wife (Irish extraction) informs me that 2016 is the centenary of the Easter Uprising, and I was wondering whether material relating to that might form a suitable subset within a third WW1 collection?

I don't see this happening. Without getting into the politics of this, the only connection with WWI (as far as I know) is that it was presumably timed in the expectation that the British response might be weaker as the armed forces were rather busy elsewhere.

No reason at all why there shouldn't be a separate collection to mark the centenary, though. I imagine there is plenty of material available.

Hmm... a clear connection with the German Navy. Rather rattles my argument, doesn't it?

However, I still think this would be better handled separately from the First World War collection.
