I was just wondering if member names are ever deleted from the database? There seem to be a lot of inactive accounts taking up space.

Not at all coincidentally, I was wondering if any of the early usernames might therefore become available again? For example "Dickens" was grabbed fairly early on - he posted three times, never posted a 1 min test, and hasn't logged in for about 8 years...

No, they are never deleted - unless the user specifically requests it. It would be quite a pain to check whether a specific user has read anything before deleting an account; in the early days not everybody posted all the time, so even the low post counts don't tell you anything. Yes, it would be okay to check for a handful or so, but for everybody, nope.

They are not taking up that much space, and after all, you never know when they may come back and start recording in earnest (again).
Cheers, Ava.
