Question: Does the artwork for an audiobook have to be from the same edition as the reading, so long as both are the same text and in the public domain?

I'm very near completion of my first solo reading ... "On Our Selection"... and I was wondering how I go about finding a cover image in the public domain. The very readable text that I'm using unfortunately doesn't have one : http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/3677

You don't have to make the cover, there are a group of covermakers who will. If you do all artwork has to be PD in the USA , which means done 1922 or earlier or something you do yourself and can release into the public domain

Looks OK - they seem a trifle confused about the date but they are all pre 1923 and it looks like a book cover.

If you are planning to make a cover do check the first post in the cover thread so you know what we need
