Hello Everyone,

This is my suggestion: Librivox works with KODI / XBMC (http://kodi.tv/about/) to create an audiobook add-on. An add-on which will also work with derivatives like OpenElec, PLEX and others.

With the add-on the user could:

1. Download or stream Librivox recordings.

2. Play Librivox or local* audiobook files.

3. Resume listening at the last point with both Librivox and local* audiobook files.

4. Organise their audiobook files in an appropriate library structure.

Thanks for your time.

Thomas

I see an add-on there for the Internet Archive. All our files are stored at archive.org. So somebody with Kodi and that add-on could conceivably do exactly as you suggest with our audiobooks.

Librivox does not have the resources right now to create an add-on.

Maybe you could ask for volunteers at the XBMC Users and Developers community: https://plus.google.com/communities/103500025928494876747/stream/7d3cd1c5-76c4-4703-8c91-5904b9c7c31e

We make our recordings available for anyone to do as they wish with them, but we ourselves don't get involved in making apps or add-ons. There are many ways people listen to our audiobooks, and we welcome them all :).
