Ok, I REALLY sound like a goose. But, you know, I had a blast, and that's the important part, right? :D Feel free to use as little as you like;) I was definitely having a bad day (the combination of a severe cold, the song being way out of my range, exhaustion from a long day). ;) Ah well. I can't wait to hear all the combined voices!

Thank you for everything you've done to make this possible, Ruth!!!

Right, then!

1-3 are the melody in various styles; 4 is the alto line; 5 is a descant on the final verse/chorus; and 6 & 7 are a pair of descants on the final chorus that fit around #5. Sadly, I couldn't get my cats to contribute to the menagerie of backing vocals!
(Spot the session vocalist who gets asked to make up harmonies on the fly? *grin*)

Use as few of them as you wish, of course. ;)

And thank you again for extending the deadline. I'm glad I got to play with this!

Here is "Danny Boy". I'm not completely happy with how it sounds, but I tend to be an extremely harsh critic of my own vocals, so it probably will sound decent to everyone else. https://librivox.org/uploads/ruthieg/dannyboy_erh.mp3
Between being a full-time college student and working 20+ hours per week, I'm not able to be involved at LV these days, but I remain a loyal fan and look forward to a triumphant return sometime in the (probably distant) future.

Hobbit: your sweet voice has just had me in tears :).

The rest of you will have to wait a few more days to hear it .

You will, I am sure, be pleased to know that you can now listen to both masterpieces ;).

Wow. From the ethereal and angelic tones of Hobbit to the rabble of the crowd! Yee Haw! That was fun!
Thanks for putting it together Ruth.

Oh, Hobbit! Your solo just floats like birdsong! Pensive and lovely!

And don't we sound like a rollicking enthusiastic gang! (The "dad/daughter duo" was a fun moment for us -- thanks for that, Ruth!)
