I have just put all the contributions in one enormous file and can categorically state that it sounds... um... extraordinary. Obviously it isn't going to be like that in the end, but it gave me a serious boost for the day .

Now, Jason (Vandermast) you ARE going to send me your other recording, aren't you - of the collaborative song? I have a definite need for a goat to join the moose and the goose!

I've done no processing. I only did the second and fourth line of each verse and the choruses. I have duplicate attempts which I've edited into a single file in chronological order so you have all attempts at a given line in one place. I tried to only speak the lines but sometimes the tra la las just took on a mind of their own and strove to be musical. :p

I hear lots of little clicks at various places and I think it is an artifact of having the overdub enabled to singalongaruth. :) Hopefully you can find a line somewhere you can use.

My daughter told me you folks were looking for folks with voices resembling mooses and gooses, (or meese and geese, maybe). That sounds like me. So here you go:

I couldn't handle the tongue twister of words in the verses, so I just sang along in the choruses and some of the short bits of verse lines. Hope there are at least one or two usable lines in there somewhere.

Lovely! Thanks to both of you!

ETA I am foreseeing a father and daughter duo somewhere in the song!

MaryAnn, if you can avoid tra-la-la-ing around the house, I certainly can't ;).

Ruth -- Dad & I having a line together would be fun -- if both of us managed to have a match on a usable line somewhere.

MaryAnn -- I've had this tune stuck in my head too. I was humming it at work this morning.♫ ♪

Well, for better or worse, I've uploaded bass, tenor, and melody lines. I listened to headphones while singing, and sometimes the mic picked up the music/Ruth singing along with me! So I hope you'll refrain from using those parts, AND the parts where I went terribly flat!

I had some difficulties with this song because, as it was raining persistently, I started constantly with the more appropriated tune. : I’m singing in the rain etc…, But I waited a few days , the sun came back and the Neapolitan tune came back with it quite naturally, so finally, here is my croaking.

Today I had the house to myself - so no one to overhear. A little breath support goes a long way for singing.

Anyway, I replaced my files. These are MUCH better.

Thank you, Mark and Herman! The weather has been diabolical here as well - violent thunderstorms .

Here are a couple of attempts for you, Ruth, plus a few dog barks in case you need them (I won't be surprised if you don't use that file!).
