I think that you should update the phpBB software on your forum as well as the design.
The design has been here for a few years and the software is buggy, so, in my opinion you should update the forum software.

What bugs are you finding? Changing the forum software would require money that we do not have. As a volunteer-driven nonprofit site, we don't keep funds in reserve for this sort of thing and we'd have to launch a large fundraising campaign beyond what is still being raised for the catalog/database update; so there would have to be a pressing need for it. The forum works for most people, so if you will tell us the problems you are having we may be able to help you.

We are using version 3.0.11. Version 3.0.12 was released only 3 months ago, and as far as I can see adds nothing to functionality and only fixes minor bugs which have never caused us any problems. Personally (admin hat off) I would rather spend my time recording audiobooks, than constantly looking for unnecessary things to "fix". I imagine others feel the same way.

I still think that you should update the look.
Do you know something, Stephen? Looks are not important. Functionality is important. This is a working forum - just like a working horse, it does the job. And this is what we are about here, RECORDING AUDIOBOOKS, not sitting around admiring pretty colours. So how about it, eh?

If you want to do a solo I can recommend some great books by Elmer Gregor, he wrote a bunch of books about the Native Americans.

They are easily read books, and are only twenty chapters each.

I'll look into it.
