Browsing our catalog, I have seen that the vast majority of books about Africa either deal with Egypt or South Africa.
Hence, I have set up a short book of children's stories told in and around Zanzibar. I hope we can finish it in time.

The Tarzan novels we have in our catalog are mostly based in West Africa, near the Congo .Availle wrote:Browsing our catalog, I have seen that the vast majority of books about Africa either deal with Egypt or South Africa.

There's this one of course: http://librivox.org/heart-of-darkness-by-joseph-conrad/
We have 2 versions.
We have 2 versions.
And for Africa, don't forget: http://librivox.org/how-i-found-livingstone-by-sir-henry-m-stanley/
Also, in Dutch: http://librivox.org/paddeltje-van-johan-been/ - a children's adventure story about a boy on a 17th century Dutch ship, who (among other adventures) gets kidnapped by pirates in North Africa.
In Dutch too: http://librivox.org/de-vliegende-hollander-by-p-visser/ - the story of the "Flying Dutchman", the ghost ship that sails forever around the Cape of Good Hope, according to legend.
For North America, a Dutch option:
http://librivox.org/aljaska-en-de-canada-spoorweg-by-anoniem/ (a tourist travel story from 1892, about a trip through Canada and Alaska; probably not originally Dutch but translated? Anonymous author & translator)
For South America, another Dutch option: http://librivox.org/twee-redevoeringen-tegen-de-slavernij-in-de-nederlandse-kolonien-by/ - two lectures (from 1853 and 1856) against slavery in the Dutch colonies in Surinam and the Dutch antilles (this last is more central America I guess)
