Thanks to whomever for adding a few more pointed emoticons, particularly the HELP, hand clapper, birthday,* cloud-nine, thumbs up, and considering...

can we suggest others?

* this might also be used for acknowledging perseverance: the candle never goes out but our friend keeps trying and trying.

You'll want to thank Tina for that. There is potential to add more in the future, but we should try to avoid letting things get clogged with smileys.

As an operator of a phpBB myself (I use it for communication with my classes) I know the truth of the smilies. Simple enough to instal. A plethora out there. But there are in good tape and made with great care. Not tacky. So thanks Tina.
