Praise for EVERYONE via the 'Thank a reader' feature:
Is is possible to post a general appreciation of the pleasure I have
received from Librivox talking books and the companionship of the many
readers who have improved the quality of my life and become personal
friends, although they may not know it? To listen to the distinctive accents
of many of the people, from many different countries, who have given their
time, adds a dimension of fun and challenge, reminding me of how different
English can sound in different English speaking countries. As a young woman,
I found it hard to understand my own language as spoken in Malawi, the
Caribbean, and some parts of Australia, Canada, and the USA. Now Librivox
brings back wonderful memories of earlier travels, so that I enjoy the
readings of students for whom English is not their first language, and
admire their courage, as well as the more formidable readers who speak
better English than I do, but with a faint accent that I recognise as
Spanish, Chinese, or Scandinavian.

Then there are the incredibly talented readers and actors who are utterly
professional in their delivery. I am lost in wonder. You are such a
fantastic community. Thank you, from the depths of my soul. I include you in
my daily meditations on gratitude and happiness.

Through all you wonderful people, I am able to relive so much of an
adventurous life, even when chronic illness keeps me inactive for a time, or
makes it an ordeal to try to sleep. In fact, disabled old age is not a
nightmare, but a delighful period of rest, contentment, and appreciation. I
feel incredibly blessed.

Thank you again,

Sylvie

Hi Sylvie

On behalf of many readers, I would like to say that expressions of appreciation such as yours are more appreciated than you can know. When you stand alone before a microphone, trying your best to record a text in a form that will be pleasant to listen to, you can never truly know how you come across to a listener until a generous person like yourself writes to tell us of your enjoyment. Thank you for doing this and I wish you many more hours of satisfying listening. Bless you.

Librivox,

My name is Terrence Pieters, and from the bottom of my heart I would like to thank you for your services along with all your workers & volunteer readers.
You allow me to easily get the knowledge of the books I want. All the readers have been amazing. I like how they get into character, so that each book i read i get used to their voice.

This is a great organization, and all i can say is thank you.

Praise for LibriVox and a request from 'Thank a reader' feature:

Hello
I've volunteered myself as a reader and got accepted on Librivox. Very glad and thankful to the entire group!!
Very glad to see Librivox has 6 Tamil langauge books (one of south Indian language).
I have done 'Telugu' ( another south Indian language ) as one of my majors in college and have an excellent vocal skills in Telugu reading. I love Telugu.
I am very eager and enthusiastic to read the first Telugu language book on Librivox. Please give me that chance. This is for greater Good.
Recently, the government of Andhra Pradesh declared 'Telugu' as a compulsory language into the curriculum of the students. The reason being, Telugu language is being neglected by the "millennials".
Telugu language is being spoken by more than 100 million people in India.
Hopefully, my Telugu Librivox audio books will nourish the enthusiasm in many young Telugu students.
Please help me help inculcate the zeal in many youngsters .... Please
Thanks for understanding
Swapna

I have had some major medical procedures during the last 2 months and I want to give a BIG SHOUT OUT to Librivox and all the readers who have contributed to this amazing project.
Listening to audio books has made the process bearable (and sometimes I just want to continue to find out what happens); whilst in hospital and recovering its been a pleasure to plug in my earphones and be transported away into another world. This is going to be a long process and the best healer is time and listening to audio books has really helped me.

THANK YOU

Praise received for All the readers of LibriVox from our 'Thank a reader' feature:

Thank you! This is such a fantastic and beautiful to do - sharing your time and energy to share literary art. Listening to the audiobooks has improved my life and brings me joy.
It also provides a wonderful way for people who have just received cochlear implants to learn to listen again in a new way, another beautiful thing.
Thank you!!!

A very sweet thank you from our 'Thank a reader' feature:

Am by myself and t's a lonely life. Fate willing, June 12/ 2016 will mark my #102 year birthday. Librivox books help keep me going. Have listened to many you have read. I like the way you do them, Roger, it's crystal clear and easy to follow.
