I have listened to and greatly enjoyed a number of the Mark Twain
readings that you have done for Librivox. (The Innocents Abroad; The
Adventures of Tom Sawyer; The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn; Tom Sawyer
Abroad; Tom Sawyer Detective; and The $30,000 Bequest.) You are a most
gifted reader and I thank you for donating of your time and sharing your

Thank you for one of the most gripping well read Libravox recordings I have ever listen to. I will definitely choose additional recordings that you have read. Made my work day that much more enjoyable.
Greetings! I enjoyed listening to “The Idiot” (parts one and two) a few years ago, before the rest was available. Now that it’s here, I just listened to parts one and two again as a refresher. Thank you again for the reading. You’ve set the bar pretty high for the readers of parts three and four.
Thank you so much! I'm a college student, and it's been a life saver to listen to Varieties of Religious Experience on Audio as it's a very dense text, that was originally delivered in lecture format. Again thank you, I really appreciate it!
I am a mom of three young girls. Since the oldest was born - 7 years ago - I have come home week after week with loads of library books. My oldest is now an amazing reader - and is often found curled up with a book. I have focused so long on developing a love of reading for my girls, that I have hardly read for myself! Listening to your reading of The Secret Garden brought me so much pleasure that I know from now on my own reading (or listening) will be a priority. You are such a gifted reader/narrator/orator! Thank you so much for the work you put in to this reading. It is very much appreciated and enjoyed. It was an absolute delight to listen - and an inspiration to carve out time for myself to enjoy books again. Really, thank you so very much for this gift. I enjoyed it immensely!
Just wanted to thank the Expatriate reader. I've been working my way through his recordings of the Chekhov novellas (during a time when I can't use my eyes much) and I am feeling very appreciative of his fine work.
All the best,
I appreciate your reading of Alice Adams. Your consistency and pacing was perfect. I do not have time to read, but can listen while I work. I think I acquired more empathy for others and insight into my own weaknesses and have grown by listening to this book. I thank you very much for your time and effort recording it.
Just finished listening to your reading of The Gold Hunters, by James Oliver Curwood. Excellent! Would appreciate a list of your best Librivox stories.
Am in fair condition and still going at centenarian 103 + 3 months
Dear Mr. Clarke
thank you for your wonderful reading of "The Count of Monte Cristo".
I enjoyed your voice many hours in sleepless nights.
I hope there is more to come from you at librivox!

I just wanted you to know how much I am enjoying listening to you read to me
I am of 53 years, no less, (see, you have me talkin' all of a Dickensian nature!!! hahah) and I still love being read to now as I did when I was a young child. I am dyslexic and finding difficult very often, hence my enjoyment of being read to.
I know you're not actually reading to me as such but it feels like it, such uis the warmth and kindness you impart.
You bring the subject matter to a vivid, living animation in my my mind's eye. Your skill at switching quickly between the different voices is very impressive.
I am somewhat of a mimic myself and often walk around the house with different voices and characters portrayed by me.
I have to find an outlet for this but listening to Librivox and to you in particular has been an inspiration.
I 'ave someone 'ere who should like to pass on a thanks of 'is own........
OLIVER!!!!!!!!!!! get over ;ere ya thankless little imp......
Please, Ms. Nicholson....... I'm not got going to ask for more like you thought I might but, rather, was going to ask you.......
That's enough ya little worm! Leave the good lady alone!!!!!
Thank you, again, Mil and I look forward to listening to more of your reads.
With thanks and warm regards,
I would like to thank Helen Taylor for her reading of this and other books.
I specifically search out books read by her.
It is a delight.
I do hope she is the one preparing the next William Frend de Morgan’s book.
Kind regards and many thanks Helen.

I would like to thank Nicholas Clifford for his reading of this book and others.
I deliberately search by his name to find books I would like to listen to.
His quiet and steady style and (for an Australian not ‘overly’ American accent) make him a pleasure to listen to.
Thank you Nicholas.
