I am from Yorkshire in England but have lived in USA for 30 years and thought that I detected a bit of a Yorkshire accent which made the reading even more enjoyable!

Hello. I am a 53 year old man from the southeastern United States and I just finished "The Brothers Karamazov". This, as you know, is a very large book that took a very long time to record. I would like to thank each and every one of your readers for their tireless effort in this project. Each one of the readers brought their own flair and perception of the characters in the book to the listener.

I am presently staying in New Haven, Connecticut and I ride my bicycle about 30 minutes each way to and from work and these wonderful readers have given me the opportunity to hear the words of a great writer while I am dodging traffic. The Librivox effort, along with the wonderful work of the volunteer readers have enabled myself and so many others to enjoy great books. I have decided to listen to another Dostoyevsky book, "The Idiot".

Thank you again for so much of your hard work and time. The world is a better place because of your efforts.

I recently discovered librivox and your reading of The Secret Garden was my introduction. My sincere yet simple gratitude doesn't even begin to describe what it has meant to me. I won't ramble on too much but basically I have a learning disorder and I love reading, I hate reading, I don't understand my own reading, I get frustrated, so I end up feeling sad and stupid. How did I ever get through grad school?!

Anyways, I happen to have a hard copy of the book and I listened to 98% of it, but I took my hard copy with me to a recent doctors
appointment. I read about 3 pages while waiting for my appointment and I actually sat down and read! I understood what I was reading.

It took me about 20 minutes to read those 3 pages but I could hear your voice reading along with me and it was fun to read again.

Oddly enough the book helped me understand some other things about myself too. It was kind of like free therapy!
