Praise received for Ralph Snelson (Ralph Snelson) from our 'Thank a reader' feature:

Dear Mr. Snelson,
Thank you for reading so many Edgar Rice Burroughs books! I love listening to you read and I’ve just started with audiobooks.
Your voice is very good and the expression you put into the stories is very emotional.
With your readings I can feel and see the story as well as trying to read it myself.

Sincerely,

Kristin

Praise received for doublemirrors (doublemirrors) from our 'Thank a reader' feature:

I enjoyed your reading of Indiscretion by Guy De Maupassant. The story was pretty good but your reading doubled my enjoyment of it. Sometimes this happens with a good reader, so thanks!

I am now downloading the other stories and poems you have read.

Praise received for GordMackenzie (Gord Mackenzie) from our 'Thank a reader' feature:

Dear Librivoxers,

I would like to express my deep gratitude to Gord Mackenzie for his effort in recordings especially those of Henry Thoreau. It is because of this easy to listen to recordings that I have been able to easily revisit Thoreau’s work every now and then and every time get a deeper understanding of his ideas. I again appreciate the effort taken to make these recording in particular Walden which is painstakingly about 14 hours. Thank you Gord!

Cheers
/A satisfied listener

Hello Mr. Wales . . .

You are my favorite reader (next to Andy Minter - may he RIP). Would you please read some O. Henry stories or more Joseph Lincoln stories? I'm getting tired of listening to the same stories over & over again and would love to hear more of your readings from these writers. Thank you.

Praise received for mrwemmick (Peter John Keeble) from our 'Thank a reader' feature:

Hello,

I'd like to thank a reader whose name is Peter John Keeble for his reading of Great Expectation by Charles Dickens, version 2

Mr Keeble, or should I say Mr Wemmick, since I saw it was your forum name !

I really wanted to tell how you much I appreciate your readings and your accent.

I am French and I teach English in a secondary school in France. I have always loved reading novels in English and a few months ago

I decided to listen to audio books . It's a fabulous experience altogether but even more so when the reader is so good.

I love Charles Dickens and I have listened to all your readings of his novels.

So thanks again

Muriel

Praise received for Mermaid (Mil Nicholson) from our 'Thank a reader' feature:

I'm about a third of the way through Nicholas Nickleby, read by Mil
Nicholson. It's one of my favorite of the Dickenses and hers is a superb
performance,, with the characters well separated. As Dickens himself
says in another context (Our Mutual Friend) "[s]he do the police in
different voices."
and...
I enjoyed Our Mutual Friend so much that I'm now downloading more titles by this reader. Mil has a wonderful reading voice and does amazing character work. Many thanks!
