Praise received for THynes (Tadhg) from our 'Thank a reader' feature:

Tadgh

David Copperfield version 2

Dear Tadgh

I have your reading of David Copperfield on my phone and have listened to it many times I really enjoy listening to it, especially the humorous parts and Betsy is my favourite character. You put across the various aspects of her character beautifully.

Thank you for your commitment to reading this very long book for our enjoyment. I very much appreciate it.

Kind regards
Penni

Praise received for MaryAnnSpiegel (MaryAnn) from our 'Thank a reader' feature:

Dear MaryAnn,

I would like to thank you for your reading of Anna Karenina. The way that you handled the jaw breaking Russian names is most creditable but is was your animated annunciation and unflagging enthusiasm that was transferred to me from the listening. Consequently, I have just downloaded “History of the World War” when I found out that you were the reader.

Thank you so much for your work.

Dear Mary Ann,

Thank you so much for reading the whole novel North and South.
You have such a beautiful voice to listen to. I was mesmerised by it!

Thank you again!

Kind regards,

Karen from the Netherlands.

going to try the Fu Manchu series of books, and the other books Lainey
Ben has read for Librivox.

Praise received for Kaffen (Mark F. Smith) from our 'Thank a reader' feature:

Mark,
I am visually impaired and I have listened to The Wind in the Willows many times both with my family and for various literature analysis classes. Your version is by far my favorite. You did an amazing job of creating the voices of the characters and music for the two songs. Thanks for bringing my favorite book to life in such a creative way.
Sincerely,
Angela

Praise received for MamaGeek (Celine Major) from our 'Thank a reader' feature:

I wanted to extend my deepest gratitude to Celine Major for her reading
of The Mysteries of Paris. I'm about halfway through Book 4 and continue
to be delighted by the quality of her reading -- the best I've
encountered on LibriVox and as good as any commercial recording I have
ever heard. The distinction she brings to each character, her
pronunciations, and the emotion (just the right amount - never too much)
she brings to the narration have enlivened dozens, maybe hundreds, of my
commuting hours.

Thank you!!!

Bill

Dear Mr. Wills:

Thank you very much for reading Moby Dick. You made the novel very enjoyable to listen to.

My commute is over an hour and a half each day, why not spend it listening to a classic novel and a great reader?

Excellent job!

Greetings from Portland, Oregon. I joined this forum primarily to thank reader Phil Chenevert for his highly entertaining reading style, as well as his selections.

Every time I think, "Eh, I'll branch out and listen to someone else," I find an interesting title, and then see that dangit, it's Phil Chenevert again!

Phil, you are the Voice of Chores! I can't get anything done without listening to you. Please don't stop, or this place will be a pigsty.

Praise received for LenXZ1 (Leonard Wilson) from our 'Thank a reader' feature:

To Leonard Wilson, for his reading of Anthony Trollope's Orley Farm:

Thank you for your reading of Anthony Trollope’s Orley Farm. Your reading was excellent. It was a pleasure to be able to listen to the entire book with just one voice, which, in its perfect, deliberate pacing seemed as if Trollope himself were speaking from his pages. I have been listening to Trollope’s writing for four or five years now while walking dogs on dirt trails in Rock Creek Park, starting with the Barsetshire Chronicles and the Palliser novels, and by now I have heard most of what is available. I think Orley Farm is one of his best novels because it has such a range of personalities coming to grips with an interesting situation. Sometimes I think Trollope is most interested in how people come to make up their minds. Trollope’s great appeal is his understanding of the human heart, and Orley Farm benefits from the accrued wisdom of his last years. It became increasingly difficult for me to realize that it was not in fact him speaking into my ears. Your work reading the novel took many hours, but the quality never flagged, and your effort is greatly appreciated.
