Hello:
I'd like to send a thank you to the fantastic reading of A Portrait of the Artist by T. Hynes.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0wOXtu1oZA
I originally read the book (silently in my head) in 1982 as a young man in my mid-twenties.
And, though I found the book and author inspiring, I remember feeling disconnected from the writing.
Like I wasn't feeling it. I've often wondered why.
I realize now it has to do with reading the story aloud,
but with the cadence of a supreme reader.
How did you learn to read as you do?
Thanks,
Bill

Mark F. Smith,
I have been using your recording of Patrick Henry's Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death speech in my American History classes for several years. I just wanted you to know the students love the recording. Your recording helps my students feel like they are in the moment and get caught up in the speech.
Thank you for this great recording!
Steve
Dear Ms. Nicholson,
Thank you so much for your wonderful reading of Dickens' Little Dorrit!
Since my name is Dorit (and some of my favorite friends nicknamed me "little Dorit" or LD for short), I've been meaning to read the novel for a while now, but never got around to it. I'm a philosophy lecturer, and last year I gave several courses at a university quite remote from where I live. This was a golden opportunity: I listened to your reading on the way, and it made commuting just lovely. I absolutely loved the way you managed to distinguish between the many different voices -- it made it ever so easy to keep track of the plot. You have a beautiful voice and you use it so kindly and well!
Thank you,
(Little) Dorit
Dear Dramatic Readers,
Thanks so much for all your efforts in reading and rendering a very engaging, and entertaining interpretation of Hard Times (version 2 dramatic reading) by Charles Dickens. I really enjoyed it.

Thank you!
I've recently started to listen to LibriVox as mp3 downloads on my old blackberry, while running. I'm very impressed by Mark's reading and he makes the training much more bearable than music.
Many thanks!

Hi Karen and LibriVox,
Thank you so much! I really did enjoy your Reading (Mansfield Park), it was very animated and also very relaxing to listen to. I sometimes suffer from migraines, and can not do anything then, when i get a little better one of the first things i can start is listen to books, it helps me a lot, I feel that i can still experience and learn something while waiting for the headache to go away.
Thanks for taking your time, patience and finishing the project!
I would like to thank Karen savage for her wonderful reading of secret garden.. It was so magical
Congratulations to Annie Coleman from Missouri.
I could listen to that book 100 times more x10 times louder. Thanks a lot.

To Peter Tucker:
I have just finished your narration of "En Route" and I want to thank you for taking the time and effort to make it available to those of us who can no longer read. I read most of "La Bas" but not all - it was quite overwhelming. After reading the second in this series, I understand much better what this series is about.
Huysmans is certainly a vivid and appealing writer. I haven't read anything quite like his books. And your narration is absolutely perfect for the books, strong and vivid, clear and pleasant to hear. I really look forward to more books in this series.
Again, thank you VERY much.
Susan
Hi Librivox,
I want to thank MaryAnn Spiegel for the hours and hours she put into reading and recording Anna Karenina. I had trouble reading the book on my own and this was the perfect way for me to read it.
Thank you, MaryAnn! I really appreciate the work you put into recording. Your readings are great and I really enjoyed listening to them!
