I just want to say that Karen has brought this book to life for me. She’s fantastic at this, and if she had not been, I probably would not have stuck with listening to the book as long as I have. Thank you.

Praise received for Sue Anderson (Sue Anderson) from our 'Thank a reader' feature:
I wish to thank Sue Anderson for a gripping reading of "By Ox Team to California." It is a magnificent tale of westward migration. Years ago I read several diaries of women who traveled west, and I believe that this one outshines those. For one thing, the little family has no serious tragedies, and apparently did well after arriving in California. I'm going to see if I can find further biographical information about the author.

I listened to the book while sewing and cooking, thoroughly engrossed. And I will now see what else Sue Anderson has read.

Many thanks.

Praise received for chymocles (Thomas A. Copeland) from our 'Thank a reader' feature:
We have introduced our kids (8 and 11) to Edgar Rice Burroughs Barsoom series and they are hooked. They prefer your voice over the others… you make the story comes alive.

Best and hope you keep on reading the rest of the Barsoom series.

Praise received for Expatriate (Expatriate) from our 'Thank a reader' feature:
I spent a month with Expatriate listening to Dostoyevsky's The Possessed while driving to and from work. A very prophetic book and a profound work of literature, Expatriate's dynamic reading was an almost spiritual experience. His many excellent French pronunciations, spoken mainly by Stepan Trofimovich, make his character come alive in a way I don't think I would have experienced merely reading it myself. Best of all for me, among many great qualities of this reading, were the dialogues between Stavrogin and Pyotr Stepanovich: the anger, hatred, cruelty, wickedness, indifference, vanity, emptiness, of these deep, powerful characters made listening something joyful that I looked forward to. I felt that Expatriate was along with me on this adventure. Thank you Expatriate! And thank you Librivox!

Praise received for pointysticks (Brenda Dayne) from our 'Thank a reader' feature:
To Brenda Dayne,

Thank you very much for your reading of The Age of Innocence.
I am a spanish guy who is struggling with learning english for so many years.

A teacher told us to listen on librivox while we are reading the book. I looked for The Age of Innocence because I recall that I loved the motion picture back then.

But the way you read this book it is so awesome that now I love the book much more than the film.
You are a great reader, your voice is pure music and the way you speak is so clear and fresh that I have learned to say lots of new words now.

Today I have finished the book. So I do really thank you for your reading. It is so nice you share your effort with all the world.

Excuse my poor english if I made mistakes.

Yours
Carlos
