Thank you to David Barnes for the sublime reading of "On Union With God by Blessed Albert the Great." I have listened to many librivox recordings and have enjoyed practically each and every one. But there was something extra special about listening to Mr. Barnes read Blessed Albert that made me want to give my first 'thank you'.
Beste Hanny Gunnink,
Hartelijk wil ik u danken voor het fijne
voorlezen van Elsje.
Heel knap de verschillende stemmetjes.
Aangezien ik nogal ziek was, had ik niet
de fut om zelf te lezen en heb erg van Elsje
genoten.
Met vriendelijke groet,
Nan
Dear Hanny Gunnink,
I sincerely thank you for the fine
reading of Elsje.
Very pretty, those different voices.
Since I was quite sick, I did not have
the pep to read myself and enjoyed Elsje very much
Sincerely,
Nan
Thank you David Baldwin for reading this book! I cannot believe this book is open source and available for everyone. Truly a phenomenal work by George MacDonald. This piece has been essential in my journey and will hope to revisit this works several times throughout my earthly life. Jesus is truly the Christ.
Thanks to Kevin Green for recording "the worst journey in the world". nicely done and a great story! Highly recommended!
Best Wishes,
Ann
Thank you, Kevin, for your delightful reading of the Tallryrand Maxim.
I have listened to more than my share of these delightful talking books in
the last few weeks, when the nights have been difficult.
Apart from the superb atmosphere of your work, there was the added delight
of an accent that took me home. I was born in Manchester and your accent
sounded as if it were from somewhere within a 50 mile radius. I am never
likely to return as I am now a Spanish resident of very limited mobility,
but it was a delight to listen to such a comforting and very attractive
voice.
Thank you for your lovely reading of Emma, by Jane Austin
(https://librivox.org/emma-by-jane-austen-solo/). Your beautifully intonated
rendition kept me happy, intrigued, and distracted through innumerable loads of
laundry and mindless lab tasks this past month. (I'm a grad student in the sciences,
where reminders of the charms of polite society such as Emma are as welcome as they
are rare.) Thank you for sharing the fruits of your tremendous effort with the
world!
On a recent road trip, we enjoyed Clive Catterall’s outstanding reading of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sir Nigel and The White Company. We have found that that most LibriVox readers perform well, but Mr. Catterall’s performance was that of a top-tier professional. Thank you!
Dear Lizzie, er Lizzy ? Um...er..Ms Driver
Thank you so much for your readings . Your style and cadence coupled with your distinct and feminine voice embue the subject matter with a very appealing effect similar I think to that of a purring cat on ones lap.
Listening to you is like having ones cake and eating it too!
Having some small experience recording I appreciate the skill and effort it takes to execute a record without mistakes and good consistency. I can't detect any breaks or pronunciation errors. Good Show!
Please keep up the fine work!
Your adoring fan Jon
I'm sixty and love English, both language and literature.
I'm a constant listener from 2006. I've listen already a few book read
by you.
Just now I've finished listening to your Treasure Island.
It's a real joy to listen to your mastery readings. When I see a book
that is
read by you solo then I'm assured of its quality. Thanks a lot, and
hopefully
I'll meet you in Librivox many times ahead.
I can't find any of his other stuff, but the chapters that Vinny Bove
did in "A Journey Into The Interior of the Earth" by Jules Verne were
brilliant. I wish I could find more stuff read by him.
Thank you, Tara, for your rivetting reading of "The Golden Calf" by Mary
Elizabeth Braddon.
You were a life-saver during several very uncomfortable nights when you
enabled me to rest and lose myself in the life of your heroine. I really
appreciate the time and skill you devoted to this blessing for those of us
who need to listen, rather than to read.
Thank you so much for your reading of Moby Dick by Herman Meville. I have been listening for the last couple of weeks as I drive to and from work in Bunbury, Western Australia. So much have I enjoyed listening, that I now have no idea of current events of the last two weeks had I listened to the radio instead. Your voices for different characters made the reading fun; my favourite was your voice of the English captain. I don't think I would have persisted with reading the book what with all the nautical terminology, but your mastery made it easy listening. Stewart, you can read to me any time.
Peter, thanks so much for these kind words -- so happy to hear you've enjoyed the reading, and also that you enjoyed the characterization of Captain Boomer . . . Thanks very much for listening and for passing on this message!

I just wanted to say a big thank you to Kara Shallenberg for her wonderful reading of The Adventures of Sally by P. G. Wodehouse! It really is a marvellous reading and I look forward to listening to more of her work.
Please convey my great thanks to the reader of R. Austin Freeman's The eye of
Osiris. Her reading was delightful. Ask her to read Helen Vardon's Confession!
