Praise for knotyouraveragejo (J.M. Smallheer) via the 'Thank a reader' feature:
Hi,
My wife and I would just like to thank jo for her fantastic contribution of Virginia Woolf's "Night and Day" audiobook.
The pleasures of the language were available in the reading, and provided a most enjoyable experience.
Thanks
Charles

Praise for Jordan (Jordan) via the 'Thank a reader' feature:
Dear Jordan,

A heart-felt thank you for recording Madam Guyon's "A Short and Easy Method of Prayer" (http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/24989), and George Macdonald's "The Hope of the Gospel" (http://librivox.org/the-hope-of-the-gospel-by-george-macdonald/). Your skill and the spirit with which you read have made these treasures come alive for me.

I am unable to read much, so your work for Librivox is enormously appreciated. I discovered with joy the list of your other recordings (that's how I found Jeanne Guyon's book), and see there is much delight to come!

grace and peace to you,

Julia S.

Praise for Termin Dyan (Termin Dyan) via the 'Thank a reader' feature:
I would like to say how much I enjoyed your reading of The Moon and Sixpence. I have listened to many commercially produced audiobooks via Audible.co.uk and your reading was as good as anything I have heard by a professional reader. The different voices made it easy to follow and your voice was exactly right for the story teller.

Thank you very much for giving up your time to record it.

Praise for ExEmGe (Andy Minter) via the 'Thank a reader' feature:
Mr. Minter,
Thank you so very much for your reading. I work at a noisy air-turbine-whine job requiring noise-canceling headphones ( with mp3 input) late into the evening and I have just been thoroughly diverted and entertained by your many readings although I think you particularly shine on the Charles Dickens recordings - of which I have listened to them all. Naturally your non-American-English accent is a plus but your ability to assign a subtle voice to each character while fortunately still being intelligble to an American listener strikes an excellent balance. About 10% more Cockney and I would have been lost.

Most American school students seemed to have learned to hate Charles Dickens based on a horrendous textbook presentation of "A Tale of Two Cities" in the schoolroom -myself included. The scales began to fall from my eyes after my wife reading me some "Nicholas Nicholby" but your reading has now made me judge all fiction by the "Dickens/Minter Standard". We are not allowed to critique your work which is fortunate because I have none...except to say your only fault was you were not born twins.

No reply required or expected and thanks soooo much.
Mark B.

Praise for TriciaG [TriciaG] via the 'Thank a reader' feature:
Hi Tricia
I just realized this thank you email option was here. I've wanted to thank you for ages, since I began listening to all the Pansy books you've put out there. I guess you must love them as much as I do, in fact, more, as you've gone to the effort of reading them out loud. And now I see you're doing a Grace Livingstone Hill one as well. You've given me so much enjoyment thru putting out these recordings. I loved reading the books, and now it's a treat being able to listen to them as I work in my kitchen or drive to work.
Thanks Tricia.
Pippa

Praise for Sibella (Sibella Denton) via the 'Thank a reader' feature:
Hello Sibella
I have just finished listening to your reading Cranford by Elizabeth Gaskell and want to express my appreciation of your work.
I have no idea how you manage to maintain such fluency, pleasant tone, appropriate emphasis and pacing, but it was a joy to listen to you. I was ill for some months in 2009 and although in remission now, that period has left me with a love of being read to at night, rather than my lifelong habit of reading for myself at bedtime. I've listened to a lot of books over the past 18 months, but your reading of Cranford is up there with the best of them
Many many thanks and I hope you can keep up your excellent work.
Best wishes
Linda M.
PS Am currently downloading your reading of Letters from Egypt!

Thank you from me for all the hard work you have put into the Librivox recordings.

I love the audio books and the written books as well.

If I was able to read some books I would, but I do not have the fleur to do a good job on it.

Congrates and May your reading never end.

The books I love are Action, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and Magic.

Praise for gypsygirl (Karen Savage) via the 'Thank a reader' feature:
Karen,

This is just to say a huge "Thank-you" for your magnificent reading of "Anne of Green Gables".

I live in Cape Town, South Africa, so your skills are travelling far. I do not have much time for reading, but enjoy audio material. In addition, in a mad, crazy world it is just lovely to catch up on books of days gone by when life seemed to be a little simpler. I only recently discovered Librivox, and thankfully found you as the reader of my first Librivox book. Your voice fits the subject matter perfectly, and you manage to bring the book to life wonderfully.

So, just to let you know that your volunteer work is very much appreciated. My wife has also just started to listen, and is also enjoying your reading.

I look forward to hearing some of your other books to in due course.

Keep on reading - it's much appreciated!

Yours,

Brian

Praise for thadine (Joy Chan) via the 'Thank a reader' feature:
Dear Miss Chan,

I wanted to thank you for your wonderful reading of the following books by Andrew Murray. I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to these books while driving between preaching engagements. I don't have time to sit down and read all the excellent authors that I would like to, especially these out of print books from men of God like Andrew Murray.

I have listened to all four of these Andrew Murray books you recorded:

http://librivox.org/absolute-surrender-by-andrew-murray/

http://librivox.org/humility-the-beauty-of-holiness/

http://librivox.org/the-school-of-obedience-by-andrew-murray/

http://librivox.org/with-christ-in-the-school-of-prayer-by-andrew-murray/

I am starting to listen to your reading of Pilgrim's Progress.

http://librivox.org/the-pilgrims-progress-by-john-bunyan/

You do a wonderful job and your voice is pleasant, clear and easy to understand. I am recommending your readings to all my preacher friends so they can learn as much as I have learned. I will check back often on your catalog page for more of your readings.

Thank you again for your time to read these outstanding books. I hope more people will listen to the wonderful truths that you have made available for them to listen and learn. May the LORD bless you richly for your service for His Kingdom.

Your servant in Christ,

Brother Kendall F.

PS: If you run across any of E.M. Bounds or Herbert Lockyer, they wrote wonderful books on prayer and Bible doctrine.

Praise for chere (Chere Theriot) via the 'Thank a reader' feature:
Thank you for recording Anthem. I'm teaching it in Togiak, Alaska, USA, and it is so helpful for my students to listen instead of reading - it's much easier to get them to plug in than to crack the book! Thank you for all that you've done to advance literature.

And more praise for ExEmGe (Andy Minter) via the 'Thank a reader' feature:
Just to let you know how much I and my husband enjoy listening to your reading voice

I download whatever you read to my MP3.

It makes a lot more sense to me to have someone with a British accent and good diction to read British works.

Some of the foreign readers, while having pleasant voices, often have much trouble with British and French names and words, but you never do.

Thank you for the auditory pleasure you give us

Best wishes

Janette M.

Praise for Sarah Bean (Sarah Bean) via the 'Thank a reader' feature:
I would like to thank Sarah Bean for her wonderful performance of The Brothers Karamazov. I use the word "performance" because her reading was much more than mere reading. She acted each part superbly. She brought the book alive. Her recordings are the best I've ever heard.
