A real "New Releases" newsfeed
I like both. We can still change it. Whats consensus?

I say change it unless anyone objects.
Ah, Problem:
The frontpage still features a list called "New Releases" but showing the podcasted chapters.
If you would call our new feed "New Releases" too, people will think its the single chapters they get...not news about new releases in catalogue.
That's why i'd prefer "Librivox Recently Cataloged" for now...or a change of the frontpage.

We can leave it at Librivox Recently Cataloged for now then, unless the podcast isn't called New Releases anymore. That's a good point.Stephan wrote:Ah, Problem:

the name again
Requesting a better feed-name containing "audiobooks"
The feed is fine for Librivox insiders, they know what they get. But for people who browse feed-lists and who don't know us they don't get any hint that we are about audiobooks and might quit the feed unheedingly because they had no chance to learn that behind the links lies quality content.
The Feed is called "Librivox Recently Cataloged".
No hint.
Then they see the feed items:
No hint.
When they read an item:
They must be thinking we are some kind of literature critics, or some project Gutenberg.
No Hint.
When they follow the link to our Catalogue Page. They have to scroll down to see the small links to the mp3 files. - finally a hint to audio-data. Probably too late.
Therefor i suggest to call the Feed
"Librivox - Free Audiobooks"
"Librivox - Free Audiobooks - Recent"
-------------------
Btw, soon rapidfeed is going to establish an advanced statisik function. I am tempted to publish some stats already here to make you smile, but i wait for them advanced stats.

Ragged Dick
by Horatio Alger, Jr.
Horatio Alger, Jr. was well known for his best-selling series of books highlighting “the American Dream” of poor boys making good and ecoming rich and successful through “luck and pluck”. Ragged Dick was the first in this niche, and follows the adventures of Dick Hunter, a ragged bootblack as he makes the decision to “grow up ’spectable”, and how he goes about achieving his goals through the help of his friends, his
inherent honesty, and his belief in hard work and study.

But a feed isn't usually for advertisement. It's to get regularly updated items. Is there a way to add a description in the RSS feed for the website? Perhaps you could explain there?
Wait, I just looked. They will see a description of the feed in their feed reader. This is what you've put...
"Free volunteer read audiobooks! LibriVox wants all published books in the public domain to be available, for free, in audio format, on the internet. We are a totally volunteer, open source, free content, public domain project."
I think that's plenty of hint, eh??

Neither opera, nor the recommended feed-reader i installed showed the description-text.
Germans largest RSS-feed-directory where people find feeds of their interest also does not show the description (dunno why though) (http://www.rss-scout.de/rss-subkategorie.php?cat1=6&cat2=1237)
Also, if the feed gets picked up by search-engines it would be better to have "audiobooks" in the title. I think "audiobooks" is a very often used search-term and it would be great if people searching for audiobooks would be finding Librivox by yet another corner, via this third feed.
(our first two feeds the news and podcast get well found)

Great idea!
Would the apostrophe pose problems?
