Hi,

If you wish to have something in Spanish, there are these books that come to my mind:

-two versions of the tales by Perrault. I think I like better the latest one: https://librivox.org/cuentos-de-hadas-by-charles-perrault-2/

or perhaps:
https://librivox.org/platero-y-yo-by-juan-ramon-jimenez/
or
https://librivox.org/fabulas-literarias-by-tomas-de-iriarte/

or this bilingual English/Spanish edition of a Spanish tale, read by two different readers:
https://librivox.org/el-raton-perez-perez-the-mouse-by-luis-coloma/

Now not in Spanish, but in English:
For somehow boys and girls, I have been involved in several books in librivox about classics adapted for them, such as these ones:
https://librivox.org/the-odyssey-for-boys-and-girls-by-alfred-john-church/
(There is also: https://librivox.org/the-iliad-for-boys-and-girls-by-alfred-j-church/)

and
https://librivox.org/stories-of-don-quixote-by-james-baldwin/

Baldwin wrote a number of books for children which are in librivox:

Cheers,

Basquetteur

The staff has picked for June, thanks for your suggestions! Please have a look at this page for the current list. You can also check out our wiki page for a plain vanilla list that contains all the staff picks for this year plus the readers!

Next month many people will go on holidays, and since we've taken care of the kids, let's take care of the adults this time! Most popular summer reads are crime/whodunit and:

ROMANCE

I am happy about all suggestions concerning romances and romantic reads (bonus if it's a crime of love ;-) ) Because it's summer, I'd like to keep this light and fluffy and fun, so no tragedies this time around please!

Especially welcome are suggestions of plays and poetry.

All languages welcome!

Thanks for your help! :D
