Great suggestions here!

I was only thinking of the science fiction stuff we have and here and there something written by a journalist. But it seems there's sooo much in our catalog already! I like it!
Cheers, Ava.

Fantomas also qualifies...

Thanks Anne :D

The staff has picked for July - thanks for your suggestions. Please have a look at this page for the current list. You can also check out our wiki page for a plain vanilla list, and we have another list with all the covers at a glance on the main m4b catalog page.

The Theme for next month will be the forth leg of our World tour:

Librivox World Tour 2012 - North America

I'd be interested in everything related to North and Central America: poetry of Panama/adventure in Nicaragua/Mexican drama...
Can we cover 10 different countries once again?

Thanks for your help!
Cheers, Ava.

Two remarkable stories (somewhat related to New York, not really fiction):

http://librivox.org/the-amateur-emigrant-by-robert-louis-stevenson/ (From The Clyde To Sandy Hook, New York)

I've been saving some titles to recommend, books I found to be particularly well done by authors and readers.

Sister Simon's Murder Case by Margaret Ann Hubbard
Deathworld by Harry Harrison
Little Fuzzy by H. Beam Piper

None of these three have particularly inviting titles, but all are entertaining. Thanks, readers!

Thanks for your suggestions!

Little Fuzzy is lovely indeed - and it is already part of this month's staff picks!

If you need some more SF, I propose http://librivox.org/talents-incorporated-by-murray-leinster/
It's an excellent story and very entertaining too.

For the World Tour, North America, hot off the press:
http://librivox.org/insurgent-mexico-by-john-reed/

8-)

The Anne of Green Gables books would work well for Canada, and/or Sunshine Sketches of a Little Town (link to version 2, but either would work).
School fiction: David Blaize
America Exploration: The First Four Voyages of Amerigo Vespucci
Serial novel: The Wandering Jew
Medieval England meets Civil War Americans: Centuries Apart

Has The Report on Unidentified Flying Objects by Edward Ruppelt ever been spotlighted? It was an easy listen, and very entertaining for a report. I may have found it because it was in the spotlight, or it may have been some other way.
