The missing ones listed in these posts all have an apostrophe in the title.

Could that be the problem? (I've no idea why it might be, but is something they have in common).

Tell you what, I'll edit the title of Lady Windermere and we'll see whether it gets picked up when the Status Table refreshes.

Update - The status table hasn't updated yet, but I've searched for ' and there aren't any. I bet this is indeed the problem.

4 hours later and it shows up on the dynamic table. Seems it is indeed the ('). Not sure how to work around that!

Heh "Mr Hogarth's Will" is in the table, and is the only one with an apostrophe. Why only this one, I wonder?

EDIT: I had a look at the catalog page, and the title is actually "Mr Hogarth\'s Will". Karen is the MC for this one. I wonder if it was done on purpose, or was it a typo?

Well, it wasn't the other day, when I looked. Or rather, I must have done a "Find in this page" for Hogarth and it wasn't there, else I wouldn't have included it in my post.

Just to note that these titles do show up OK, with apostrophes, in catalogue searches. As far as I can tell, it's only the Status Table that doesn't pick them up.

We ought to take care not to implement any change that would cause problems elsewhere.

(For example, the / in Mr Hogarth/'s Will shows up in the title if you do a catalogue search, which isn't ideal. Likewise, it's not right to drop apostrophes as I did when testing Lady Windermere).

Can tis look at what drives the Status Table?

d'you reckon a " & #39; " might work?

Or "&squo;", although I suspect that either one will display that way in the DB search, rather than as a single quote or apostrophe mark.

On purpose. I was reading this this morning and decided to try escaping the character. I only just got back to see if it worked. If it's going to affect the catalog page, though, I'll take it back out.

Although, pardon my cluelessness, but why does it "escape the character"?

In most computer programming languages and operating systems, certain charachters have special meanings, and if you want to have them displayed (instead of using the special meaning), you have to "escape" them, or use a special sequence of charachters. For instance, in Unix shell programming, the double quote mark (") is used as a character string delimiter, and won't display on the screen or printout. If you want it to show up, you have to escape it by using a backslash first (\"). Then it will print out instead of having its special meaning.

Yup, the apostrophe was breaking the SQL which generates the table. Now fixed I think. And the DPL column is also added.

These fixes should show up next time Jc refreshes the public version.

Jc, this is great! I'm just wondering if a link has been / should be posted in the Listeners Wanted thread? (especially now that you have a DPL column) I didn't see one but I could be missing it... being a poor PL'er myself, I am not as familiar with that forum as I should be.
