Next weekend, the first weekend of March, it the next LibriVox Reading Jamboree! It's a time when we make a special push to get everyone to read at least ONE thing extra for LibriVox, to try to get some longstanding projects completed.

Every single chapter in every book in this thread is spoken for. We'd really like folks to actually read them. But we understand that sometimes real life interferes with the things we'd like to do.

If you can read your chapters this weekend, please do so. But if, for whatever reason, you simply can't read them this weekend, please release them so that other folks can have a shot at it.

This isn't a demand, just a request. We all want these projects to move on towards completion. If you're intending to read your chapter but just can't get it done for this weekend, we'll wait for you. But if you'd rather just bow out gracefully, here's a way to do it which will not only move these projects along but will also give the opportunity for some new voices to participate!

What are YOU doing for the LibriVox Jamboree? :D

I'm going to play the Keeper Of The List for the March LibriVox Jamboree here in this thread. I'll add folks here as I see things change, but feel free to post saying what you're intending to do, and keep us apprised of the changes, and I'll make the changes here as things progress. I'll try to keep them posted alphabetically by reader.

Keep checking here and we'll watch the colors all change as the weekend continues!

OK I am very busy these days, but I will try to;
a) edit my prince chaps
b) get my origin chap done.

I will try very hard to do a) and less hard to do b) but I sure hope I can do b).

good luck everyone!

Yes, let's get some more of these chapters finished so that we'll have something more for the Listener's Wanted area ;)

This week/end (optimiastically):

a) Part 5 of Descartes' "Dircourse on Method"
b) Chapters 28-29 of Dickens' Oliver Twist
c) Tennyson's "St-Symeon Stylites"

Hoping to get at least 2 of these done (the 1st two), but would REALLY like to get them all done so I can start attacking "In Memoriam".

here goes!

I started to post something quite defensive as I have a cold that has knocked my voice entirely out and can't see promising anything, nor would I release my chapters just because I have a cold at the moment.

Then I realized that I don't have any outstanding chapters in books on Readers Found -- they're all still Readers Wanted.

Well. Never mind, then. :)

I intend to actually DO SOME RECORDING! This week has been/is being very busy, with dress rehearsals for concert Friday and Saturday nights, and I haven't had any time this week for doing any recording at all.

This weekend, I intend to:

- submit Musketeers ch. 52 - DONE!
- start on Musketeers ch 53 - about half read. Probably not going to get finished this weekend, but probably by the end of next weekend.

- Catharine, with Brahms Requiem stuck in her head for a very good reason

I will have some time this Saturday so if anyone really feels they can't do their chapter then, quite likely, I could help out with one.

It would be nice to increase the Librivox catalogue

We're going to try keeping a running list of who's doing what over this Jamboree Weekend. Check back to see who's doing what and how it's all progressing, and to post YOUR progress this weekend!

Black Beauty, Ch. 34 & 35 ~DONE~
(but having trouble with file transfer... new computers <sigh>)
Wind in the Willows, Ch. 2

They're printed out and ready to be recorded on my shiny and snazzy new computer -- so exciting!
Meredith

P.S. Oooooh, Catherine, enjoy the Brahms Requiem! (how could you not?) I've had Italian madrigals, various bits of English church music, and Britten's Rejoice in the Lamb running into each other in my head all week... and we're not performing til May!
